Määhdrescher is an easy-to-pick-up local multiplayer game where up to four players compete to bring the baby sheep to their altar as a sacrifice. But beware—others will try to stun you with headbutts and steal the sheep for themselves. The first to deliver three sacrifices wins!
Määhdrescher was my first submission to the MMarmelade Game Jam, a recurring event held every semester at our university. As the art lead, I created most of the game assets. Since this was back in my first semester, I focused on pair-programming the UI with a more experienced developer from our group. This collaboration helped me take my first steps in Unity and game development. Despite the learning curve, we managed to deliver a playable game within the jam's time frame, and the experience was invaluable for understanding team dynamics and creative workflows under pressure.
